Reading and Hobbies
Can taking a few minutes for a creative outlet help you manage stress? Psychology Today reports on various studies that show support for taking some time to color in your favorite images. Or maybe you prefer to do some writing or keep a journal? Or grab a good book and read - studies have shown that it relaxes your muscles and lowers your heart rate. Research supports all of these activities and more importantly they are enjoyable and healthy for both body and mind.
As part of my Gold project, I collected adult coloring books, journals and worked with the Max Michael Rosenfield Foundation to choose books that the girls would enjoy reading during their free time.
